What you'll need
- A Scan2Evolve account with inspector or admin role - An asset with a QR code (or access to create one) - Camera access on your device (for scanning) - (Optional) Printer for printing QR code labels
Printing QR code labels
Web app
Step 1: Navigate to asset
- Click Assets in the navigation menu
- Go to /admin/assets
- Click on an asset to view details
Step 2: Access QR code
- Click on the asset
- Go to QR Code tab
- Or go to /assets/[assetId]/qr-label
Step 3: Print QR code label - Click Print QR Code Label button - QR code label is generated - Print the label - Attach label to asset

4. Click "Print QR Code Label" button
5. QR code label is generated

How do I create a QR code for an asset?
Go to the asset details page, click on the QR Code tab, and click "Print QR Code Label" button. The QR code is generated automatically for each asset.
Can I use the same QR code for multiple assets?
No, each asset has a unique QR code. QR codes are automatically generated when assets are created.
What happens if I scan a QR code that doesn't exist?
You will see an error message "Asset not found". Contact your administrator if you believe the asset should exist.
Can I scan QR codes offline?
QR code scanning requires an internet connection to load asset information. However, you can start an inspection offline after scanning the QR code (if the asset information is cached).
How do I print QR code labels?
Go to the asset details page, click on the QR Code tab, and click "Print QR Code Label" button. Print the label and attach it to the asset.
What size should QR code labels be?
QR code labels should be at least 2x2 inches for easy scanning. Larger labels are easier to scan from a distance.
Can I customize QR code labels?
QR code labels include the asset name and QR code. Customization options may be available through your administrator.
How do I test if a QR code is working?
Scan the QR code using the Scan2Evolve QR scanner. If the asset information loads, the QR code is working correctly.
