LambdaAssetCheck – Acceptable Use Policy

To protect the integrity of our platform and ensure a safe experience for all users, this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the standards that govern how you may use LambdaAssetCheck's products, websites, APIs, and related services ("Services"). Any capitalised terms not defined here take the meanings given in the LambdaAssetCheck Terms and Conditions.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree that neither you nor any third party (including your End Users) will engage in prohibited behaviour described below.
1. Prohibited Conduct
You must not, whether directly or indirectly:
1.1 Unlawful or Harmful Activities
- Break or encourage others to break any applicable law or regulation.
- Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, obscene, violent, exploitative, or invasive of privacy.
- Promote or engage in harassment, hate speech, discriminatory behaviour, or abusive conduct.
- Impersonate any individual or entity, including LambdaAssetCheck staff or other users.
1.2 Security & System Integrity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or related systems.
- Disable, bypass, or tamper with security mechanisms, authentication processes, or access controls.
- Test, scan, or probe the Services for vulnerabilities without prior written approval from LambdaAssetCheck.
- Introduce viruses, malware, Trojan horses, corrupted files, or any harmful code.
1.3 Disruption & Abuse
- Interfere with or degrade the performance of the Services or infrastructure used to provide them.
- Flood, overload, or stress the Services in ways that hinder normal usage by others, including misuse of support channels.
- Circumvent usage limits, subscription tiers, free trials, promotions, or pricing mechanisms.
1.4 Misuse of Accounts & Credentials
- Access areas of the Services you have not been granted permission to use.
- Share, sell, or transfer accounts that are assigned to specific individuals.
- Create accounts using automated tools, bulk registrations, bots, or methods other than LambdaAssetCheck's provided interfaces.
1.5 Intellectual Property & Data Misuse
- Infringe or facilitate the infringement of third-party intellectual property rights.
- Upload data without appropriate permissions or that violates privacy or confidentiality obligations.
- Manipulate or falsify identifiers to obscure the origin of data or requests.
1.6 Commercial Misconduct
- Resell, rent, sublicense, or provide the Services to others without written approval.
- Use the Services to build, train, or enhance a competing product or reverse engineer our features, workflows, or graphics.
- Engage in phishing, fraudulent schemes, deceptive practices, or unlawful solicitation.
1.7 Integration & Automation Restrictions
- Misuse the LambdaAssetCheck API, exceed rate limits, or access endpoints in a manner not aligned with our public documentation.
- Employ robots, crawlers, scrapers, or automated tools to extract data except via approved APIs.
- Use the Services to send unsolicited emails, promotions, or spam.
2. Enforcement & Actions We May Take
LambdaAssetCheck reserves the right to investigate any suspected breach of this AUP. Depending on severity, we may:
- Suspend or terminate user accounts.
- Remove or restrict access to harmful or non-compliant content.
- Block access to the Services from offending accounts or networks.
- Report unlawful behaviour to law enforcement or relevant authorities.
- Take any legal or technical measures necessary to protect our platform and users.
You remain responsible for any violations committed by your End Users.
4. Updates to This Policy
LambdaAssetCheck may update this AUP at any time by publishing a revised version on our website. Changes become effective on the date they are posted.
